Breakers East #805

We love our winter stay in condo 805 here at the Breakers East ! This condo has everything - absolutely fully furnished from coffee pot to can opener ! Terrific balcony furniture and gulf view ! Thank you to the owner for sharing his amazing condo with us !!! Your assistance at the beach is the BEST - we would not rent through anyone else !!

We stayed in this condo last year for the winter and requested 805 again for this winter as we appreciate that its owner will allow snowbirds for the winter months !! This unit was clean when we arrived and supplied with everything you might need - it is beautifully decorated, very comfortable furniture and has a kitchen that is fully stocked ! The location is perfect and we have an amazing beach view from our balcony. The Assistant at the Beach management is very helpful and takes care of any problems that arise .... We would recommend condo 805 here at the Breakers East to anyone looking for a great stay in Destin!

Absolutely loved staying at BE. The set up was perfect; private beach access, complimentary umbrella with 2 beach chairs, pool, grills, and within walking distance to many, many things. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and are definitely booking again for next year. There was only 1 working elevator but it wasn’t a serious issue, we are patient and seems other occupants were as well.

Our family had a great time! The condo was perfect for our family. The view was amazing and everything that we wanted to do was within minutes from our condo. We will most definitely be visiting Destin again and plan to stay at Breakers East!

The Condo was amazing. The view of the gulf is beyond words. I will stay there again due to the comfort, gulf view and wonderful accomodations.

We recently stayed in this unit and everything was excellent. The unit was clean and everything you might need was there. This is our third stay at Breakers East and each time was wonderful. It is a great property and the management staff goes above and beyond.

We especially want to thank 805’s owner for allowing us to stay in his awesome condo for the winter ! We really enjoyed the carafe keurig coffee maker in this condo, along with its huge balcony and furniture ! We are already looking forward to our return to this beautiful condo !

The Breakers East location is very convenient to grocery store and tons of wonderful restaurants.... We would most definitely recommend this property and condo 805 - and we have booked our next stay! There was some building and parking lot maintenance going on during our stay and we were always kept up to date and well informed ..... excellent and professional communication with our assistant at the beach !!

Our January stay in condo 805 has been a delight ! Besides the really nice size of the unit - the huge balcony and balcony furniture are awesome .... Renting from ‘your assistant at the beach’ is a definite plus !! Many thanks to this condo’s owner for the privilege of letting us have their condo as our home away from home for the winter !

Finally booked my long awaited beach vacation to Destin FL and our condo rental was so beautiful and clean. Everything needed was there. Thank You to the owner and management for a comfortable and relaxing property. There was only ONE big problem with our beach vacation -which was the beach disaster ... the horrible algae bloom in Destin. I know the condo owners really have no control over that issue, but it totally ruined our beach and water activity. By the end of the week the smell also became unbearable. I was devastated. This trip was to relax and heal at the beach from several years of taking care of family and suffering the loss of 2 of my beloved family members. I needed that fresh ocean breeze and beautiful Destin Beach Vacation.

The condo was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for a great vacation. It was very clean! Can't wait to go back!

The weather was fantastic. the condo was nice but the HVAC did not work properly in the master suite. We spent each night sweating no being able to use blankets. The unit did cool the unit just not the master.

Great vacation, a couple issues(1) Sliding glass door from LR need work, very hard to open. 2)Bar fridge did not work

Layout was great! Love the little bar area with the ice maker.

Condo was well cleaned and provided cleaning supplies to keep up with everyday cleaning.

We had an issue with the fridge but the manager was accessible and even followed up when the issue was resolved. We will only be going through Your Assistant from here on out.

We have been staying at Breakers East 2 Weeks each year for over 20 years. The location is great and the facility is small so the private beach is not overcrowded. We have stayed in numerous units over the years and they have all been nice and also clean and the booking agent Carolyn has always been good to work with. That said we were very disappointed with our stay in unit 805 in May of this year - The first morning we awoke to find all our groceries (cereal, cookies, candy, ect) that were on the bar tops were covered in ants. The first night when we got ready to go to bed my son and his wife pulled back the covers in the guest bedroom and it was obvious the bed sheets had not been changed from the previous occupants stay as the were badly wrinkled and the bed was FULL of sand. My wife had to strip the bed and wash the bed sheets before anyone could sleep in this bed. On top of all this the washing machine smelled (stunk) so bad you could smell it into the kitchen so we were afraid our clothes would smell like it if we used it to wash our clothes. There were also smaller issues with the cleanliness of the unit that I will not list. We are not giving this review to discourage anyone from staying at Breakers East and we are not at this time going to stop as we will be back in November (Different Unit) - we are only giving this review to be honest about this stay and to hope it will in some way help the management with oversight on the cleanliness of the units before new guest check in. Also I would like to mention that I know guest are not allowed to have animals in the units but owners are - In the previous 20 something years we have stayed at Breakers East we have seen very few dogs on the premises but during this stay we saw 7 different dogs - all on leashes - (and we were almost bitten by one as we were exiting the elevator) which seems like a lot of dogs on the premises at one time if they all supposably belong to only unit owners.

It was wonderful, the condo was beautiful, Carolyn the manager did everything we could ask for. The beach was so nice the sand was like baby powder all the workers at breakers East were friendly and helpful. But again Carolyn was great we took advantage of the grocery package and it was wonderful to get there and Carolyn had put away our stuff. I will definitely go back

We love staying at Breakers East. Our unit was comfortable and in the perfect area we like to stay. Every time we come to Destin this is where we like to stay. Always has been clean and relaxing.

We had a great stay aside from the less than perfect weather. This condo was nicely remodeled and well stocked with everything you might need. The grounds were well kept and the beach can’t be beat!!

Breakers East has always been a great place to stay in Destin. This time was different because one elevator never worked and the other one was down off and on throughout the week. Very frustrating and a great inconvenience.

Condo was great. Roomy, clean, and a great view of the water. Unfortunately, we had problems with the stove, dish washer, and we accidentally broke a toilet. In all three cases, the folks at Your Assistant at the Beach were incredibly courteous, efficient, and responsive. I notified them about the stove late morning, they came and checked it out within a couple hours, determined that it had to be replaced, and had a new stove in place the next morning. m I called regarding the dish washer late one morning, they came and checked it out, and installed a new one that afternoon. As for the toilet I notified them one morning, and within a couple hours, they had replaced it. In addition, every contact with them was extremely pleasant. They are true professionals in the best use of the term.
Our only disappointment is that it looks like we will not be able to return next year. We rent for 6 weeks, and the entire complex is totally rented out for next year (all for 3 months). month renters get first pick, and, unfortunately, all units have been booked for 3 month blocks.

Erica handled the cancellation professionally, cheerfully refunding our deposit. We rented another unit this year, but the unit became unavailable so Erica found this beauty for us. The only problem we had was a lightning strike to the building next door, which blew out our stove. I called Erica and she had a repairman here within a couple hours. He determined that it could not be repaired in a timely manner, and Erica arranged to have a new stove delivered and installed the next morning. She also kept us updated until the new stove was in place. We could not have asked for a better home away from home or better service.
Over the years, we have dealt with several rental agents, but Your Assistant at the is by far the best that we have dealt with.

This condo is perfect and very spacious for our family of 4! We love the central Destin location! Just a short walk to the beach and close to other activities and shopping! The manager is very helpful and responds quickly! This was our second time staying in the same condo and we will most likely stay again!!

Breakers East unit 805. I found the unit to be very clean. Stock with more than enough dishes and pots and pans. Great location. The balcony has a high set and we found that to be uncomfortable for us. Could not eat out side. Sliding door could use a little help.

We over all enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean, comfortable , beautiful ocean front balcony views and convenient to the beach. The only problem we encountered was a group of approx 6 young guys (late teens, early 20’s) occupied the condo directly below us. All day and late evening they were very loud, using bad language and playing loud music.

The condo was great! Very pretty and well kept. Only bad experience we had was Hurricane Sally...but all in all, it was great and I will be back there.

This was a great condo and very spacious. We really don't have any negatives except I hope they are cleaning the condo well for COVID. The owner/mgr. was very responsive and helpful always. Great location, near EVERYTHING.

The condo was very nicely decorated and comfortable to stay in. Will definitely rent again! The man running the umbrella and chairs, Jared, is amazing. And you can’t beat the beach in Destin. One of the best in the country!

This unit was way bigger than expected! Had absolutely everything you could possibly need. TV’s were great! Beds were comfy! Definitely stay here again!

It was great! GREAT location. Very nice condo. Spacious for 2 people. Can't beat the view! Saw dolphins 16x from the balcony out of the 35 days we were there which was a bonus. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice condo. One or two things need maintenance...the metal panel above the microwave over kept trying to fall off, and the right side (looking at it) of the refrigerator door seemed like it was loose. Everything else was great!

This condo was the most spacious of all condos that we have stayed at in Destin over the past 10 years. The condo had everything we needed. Only complaint would be that the commercial ice maker at the bar has some issues with water spilling out and freezing the bin to the bottom of the machine. The laundry door is right next to the fridge which makes it impossible to open the freezer door all the way. Also, some of the electrical outlets didn't work. All in all those minor issues would not stop us from coming back. The walk to the beach was perfect, the beach service with it's shaved ice sales were great! Big deck and great views.

Another awesome beach vacation at Breakers East! Love that Breakers is a small condo complex. We always meet new friends on the beach and at the grilling area. Carolyn makes everything so easy from booking to arrival. The best thing this year was having Carolyn pick up our Walmart order and having it in our condo when we arrived! We have been staying at Breakers for over 35 years!!

This was probably the best beach vacation we have ever had. The condo was beautiful and clean and the view from the balcony of the ocean and dolphins was amazing. The sand on the beach is like sugar and NOT HOT. In the water, the bottom is soft too. The condo location is convenient and very close to many eating establishments and shopping. Carolyn, the agent for Your Assistant at the Beach, was delightful and made sure we were happy. We will be back!

Had an Excellent stay in Destin. The Beach is beautiful and there is plenty to do on the strip. Excellent golf courses as well. The room was very clean an exceeded our expectations. The views from the balcony was awesome and the location was perfect. We will be returning...

ABSOLUTELY LOVED this condo! Had everything we needed and more! Loved the location and the fact that it is right on the beach! Condo was super clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful, and easy to get in touch with. We were even able to see dolphins right from our balcony!

We we're delighted from the moment we walked in the door. Everything was spotlessly clean, roomy and spacious. We loved being able to just walk out on to the beach. Carolyn was so very helpful before and during our stay. We loved it and will be back for a return visit.

Our first trip to Destin was fantastic! Gorgeous sights, incredible food & our condo truly felt like a home away from home.

The views from the deck were spectacular! From above we were able to watch dolphins chase schools of fish. We really liked the location on the beach. FYI, if you like to take long walks, Henderson Beach State Park (to the east) has some restrooms, in case of emergency! We rented kayaks from the vendor right there at Breakers East. We had dolphins swim around and under us. Sadly, the kayaks do not have backs so they aren't that comfortable to rent for more than an hour. The pool was heated so it was really inviting when the Gulf water wasn't quite so warm. There is a water park about a block away for an added activity for the kids, although it wasn't yet open when we were there mid-April. The property manager, Carolyn, was very accommodating and responded to any and all questions promptly. The condo was spacious and clean. There is a laundry room with cleaning supplies, some beach chairs, a few beach towels, and a couple of beach toys. I would bring my own beach towels. The kitchen well is well equipped (actually a bit overstocked since there's not much cupboard space for groceries). It didn't bother us, but some of the cabinets and furniture are starting to show some wear and tear. The living room furniture was very comfortable and nice. Two restaurants we especially enjoyed were Harbor Docks for their very fresh seafood and the Marina Cafe which had excellent food plus a 2 for 1 early bird special. I would actually like to come back again and would definitely recommend this property.

This is our sixth year staying at Breakers East. We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. We have made many friends over the years and enjoy getting together with them from December to March. We always say that it is like coming home to a second home.

Lots of towels and kitchen items, views were stunning! We sat on the balcony every morning and evening to see sunrise& set. Perfect location and easy to get too. This is a must to stay at.

The place was nicely decorated , spacious, and clean. We truly enjoyed the balcony view, it was beautiful, even saw a pod of dolphins one morning. The swimming pool and beach were very nice also. We plan on coming back again soon

We rented units 804 & 805, they have a door that opens between them. We had a large group and this worked great. Clean well supplied, on the beach. Perfect vacation.

We rented this condo for a work-related trip but our friends & their children accompanied us. The condo had tons of supplies provided, so we probably could have left half the stuff we packed behind. The rooms were spacious & clean - it has a great layout to accommodate 2 families. The overall size of the building was nice as the beach wasn't too crowded & the beach services were very nice as well. I would recommend this condo/service to friends & I would stay here again. My only complaint is that no pets are allowed - my dogs are very well-behaved & cleaner than most kids, so I would like to be able to bring them along if we were to return, as it's easier than finding a reliable pet-sitter for a week. Thanks for a great working vacation!

The unit was just as pictured. Everything was immaculately clean and Carolyn was great. The very few questions I had were answered within 15 minutes. Instructions on accessing unit, beach details, etc. were very clear and arrived in my email without prompting. I will say, make sure you read the fine print when renting through VBRO. They now tack on their own $100+ charge for using their site. This was not the case last time we went through them.

We have stayed at 805 Breakers East for 5 winters. The unit is fantastic, clean, well equipped and well managed. Carolyn Bobbit is wonderful. She responds quickly to any request or question that we have. The Magnolia Grill in Fort Walton is a must visit. We went 3 times over our 3 month stay. Too many great restaurants to mention them all. We are already booked for next winter. The beach is fantastic. It is a 15 minute walk along the beach to the Back door restaurant for lunch or dinner (fun and casual).
