Pelican Beach Resort 516

We absolutely loved pelican beach. The condo was perfect for our family. All of the amenities were great as well. Great communication from the property manager when we had questions. No complaints here! We will definitely be returning next year!

We really enjoyed our stay at #516 Pelican Beach Resort.We had a great view of the beach. Condo was very nice and clean. Pools were fun and large. Tiki Bar served good food. Sister had 3 virgin strawberry daiquiris while there. Husband thought Community coffee was delicious.Glad we could rent umbrellas and chairs for the beach.Weather was perfect. May be time for owner to replace couch though. Only negative was the traffic on Hwy 98

The location and amenities make an easy family vacatino spot at Pelican Beach Resort in Destin. Three heated pools, easy beach chair rental and beach bar (a pleasant surprise!) are the shining amenities for this complex. We enjoyed dinner at the nearby Backporch restaurant and take out from the fish market down the street. The condo was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean from the living room. Check-in was very easy and communication before our trip was great. All in all it was a succesful Spring Break for our family. I would recommend this rental. Just remember to pack your beach towels and toys!

We really loved the condo and complex. It was perfect for our family. The beach was great too, loved the little beach bar. The only thing we didn’t really enjoy was that the condos chairs and umbrellas to rent took up a lot of the front part of the beach and you weren’t allowed to set up your own umbrellas and chairs in front of them. This makes it hard if you want to sit under the umbrella while you watch your kids play. Otherwise the condo itself was perfect!

Everything was wonderful

We enjoyed our stay at Pelican Beach Resort. All was as pictured on VBRO. Pools were heated which allowed for swimming even on cooler days. Bed mattresses are soft, somewhat sagging. Sofa mattress is hard to sleep on. Loved the tiki bar drinks and flat white sandy beach to walk on. A car is needed to get to most restaurants. The beach is fantastic and side view from condo was beautiful. We had sliding screens on patio doors which allowed for breeze to come in. We would definitely come again.

My daughter and I went down for a long weekend, and loved our stay at the condo. The condo is really prettier, and view more beautiful than the pictures show. With it being Winter and cold, we loved being able to sit on the couch and have a great view of the beach from inside. The condo was also spotless! Will definitely book again.

Condo was perfect! The size and functionality of it! The beautiful balcony view of the pool and beach are mesmerizing and breathtaking!

The condo was just as expected and the check in process was easy. Overall the property was well kept and the staff was friendly.

The condo was just as beautiful as in the pictures. It was very clean and had all the amenities of home. Beds were very comfortable. Communication with the manager was very good. Would definitely recommend #516! I've seen a lot of negative comments regarding the resort itself, but we have been staying here for about 9 years and have grown to love the Pelican Beach Resort. Yes the beach is crowded but we don't let it ruin our beach time : ) The Back Porch and McQuire's restaurants are a must!

The room was clean and had an excellent view of the beach. The property and pool were very nice. There were many fine restaurants within walking distance of the property!

Room was clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. I would more then likely stay there again for the price of the 2 bedroom except for the beach service. There were so many chairs and umbrellas you literally could not see the water. And they don't allow you to bring your own chairs unless you want to sit at the back of the beach! I reserved our chairs a month out and we were put in the third row everyday we were there except our last day. The "kids" working the beach service are very immature and unprofessional. When ask how the placement of chairs work they assured us we would move up, well that didn't happen and when I ask the second or third day why that didn't happen the two immature kids working laughed and said" oh well we've had reservations for 3 or 4 months. I would highly recommend you change your beach service.
Elevators are very slow.

My daughter and I stayed at the Pelican Resort. Our assistant was very attentive. I asked if we could have beach towels so we didn't have to pack them and they had them waiting at the condo. It is the little details like this for me that makes a place stand out. Close proximity to several shops and restaurants. We will come back for sure!

The condo was perfectly cleaned when we arrived, sunrise from the balcony and sunsets from the front door were beautiful. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen had all the amenities. What we don't like: If you don't book an umbrella in advance you won't see the ocean, the beach is packed!!! 2 Elevators were down during Spring Break which made going up & down very difficult. The main pool facing the ocean is going through renovations so the 2 pools and hot tub were always busy. Overall we loved the condo, it was simply too crowded for us.

Very nice place. Huge deck for sitting and drinking morning coffee. Would definitely recommend it.
